Hello. My name is John Dennis and I teach land surveying and computer mapping here at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. I’m contacting you because I am helping develop a class for this coming May that is designed for students majoring in forestry, natural resources, and wildlife. The class is called ‘Contemporary Issues in Natural Resources’ and the aim of the class is to identify and expose these students to current ‘natural resource’ issues. This year’s area focus is on natural resources of the Gulf Coast with emphasis placed on S. Louisiana and Florida. We are planning to bring the class down to South Louisiana this coming May and we will be staying in Thibodaux for several days.
That said, I wanted to get in touch with you in regards to your work on the live oaks of Bayou Lafourche. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with Mr. Guion regarding his work on the development of this trail and his work in photographing the beautiful live oaks of Lafourche parish!
I can be reached by email or by phone: 870-460-1594. I look forward to learning more about the live oaks and the work that Mr. Guion is doing.
Sincerely
John Dennis
